A
dream. That is what Michael Molthan had. Michael
wanted a place for his son to ride and train. With
his knowledge and
passion, Rabbit Run Mx was founded. The name
Rabbit Run has a bit of history in the state of
Texas. Rabbit Run International Mx Park in
Plano, TX was the home of
the Trans AMA Pro race in 1976 and 1977.
Shannon attended races there and loved the
place. When it cam time to name the track, the
old Rabbit Run was brought up.
Rabbit Run has a variety of
great soil from a dark loam to a sandy loam.
Different types of corners were made, from big
sweeping ones to off cambers. The corners get
rutted up with multiple lines in them. All of
our jumps are built with safety in mind with
nice rounded landings and are very forgiving.
Jumps range from small doubles to a 100 foot
long triple table top. There is a long, sweet
loamy whoop section that makes a 90 degree turn
about 3/4 of the way through. Rabbit Run is a
technical track that keeps you busy. The
average lap time is approximately 1 minute and
45 seconds.
Our goal is to have
top notch training facility that will draw riders
and racers from across the country. They have many
future plans to enhance customers time while they
are at Rabbit Run Mx. We will continuously be
improving on the facility to make it better for anyone that comes to
ride on days we are open to the public. |
